Curious free screensaver showing recent earthquakes on a map of the Earth.

QuakeSaver is a curious and unique screensaver, completely free, geared for geologists or, more specifically, for lovers of earthquakes. It locates and displays on a map of the Earth places where earthquakes have occurred recently.

The user can specify in QuakeSaver what period of time must have passed since these earthquakes (a day, a week, etc) as well as select to search only in a specific area of the planet.

You will be surprised with QuakeSaver when you see the large number of earthquakes (mostly small scale) that occur every day worldwide. For each earthquake, it tells you the intensity (on the Richter scale), the location and time of occurrence.
